Professionalism and Credential Monitoring Board
The Professionalism and Credential Monitoring Board (PCMB) ensures that members meet and uphold their qualification and continuing professional development (CPD) requirements. Under the oversight of the Actuarial Profession Oversight Board (APOB), the PCMB takes on the responsibility of establishing, maintaining and monitoring compliance with these standards.
What does the PCMB do?
- Qualification standards: The PCMB establishes and maintains rigorous qualification standards that reflect the evolving needs of the actuarial industry. By adhering to these standards, CIA members demonstrate their commitment to excellence.
- Continuing professional development: Learning never stops in the actuarial profession. The PCMB ensures that our members are meeting CPD requirements to stay at the forefront of their field.
- Managing criminal convictions disclosure: Trust is paramount in our profession. The PCMB manages the process for disclosing criminal convictions, both for prospective and existing CIA members. This transparency reinforces the integrity of our community.
